When Enough is Enough - The Moneypit Home Being invited into a homeowners living room to talk about listing their home is a common activity for most real estate agents. Selling your home in Washington can oftentimes mean timing the market to maximize your return after years of sweat equity and real expense. As a homeowner you’ve often replaced many systems, made repairs and upgrades during your time owning the home, and you’re looking for some return on your investment. But how much spend is too much? Recently in Federal Way, I had the opportunity to meet with homeowners who had spent years touching every corner of their property, making upgrades to flooring, stairwell railings, paint, appliances, room additions, landscaping and more. Today’s Tacoma Highlight The North End of Tacoma, Washington is a vibrant and historic area located in the northern part of the city. Some of the most sought after real estate is found here.  North Tacoma is situated north of downtown Tacoma and extends along the shoreline of Commencement Bay. It's bordered by Ruston Way to the west, the Port of Tacoma to the south, and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to the north. The primary neighborhoods that comprise the North End are Stadium District, Proctor, UPS, North Slope Historic District and Three Bridges. Each of them have unique characteristics and features that separate them from the other.  Known for its charming residential streets, beautiful views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, and its historic architecture, North End Tacoma has a distinct character. Yeah, sign me up. Living in the desert Southwest for many years, I had become accustomed to dry windy winters and scorching hot summers. Sure, there’s more sunshine but when was the last time you saw a bald eagle fly overhead ? Speaking of eagles, let's talk nature. Nestled between Puget Sound and the majestic Mount Rainier, Tacoma is a postcard waiting to happen and often you’ll hear people exclaim “the mountain is out”. It’s a locals saying that acknowledges the beauty and majesty of Mount Rainier. And walkability? I’m talking parks, trails, and outdoor spots that make you want to hug a tree—literally. Point Defiance Pa...
